Assistant Principals
Welcome, Sorrento Families!
My name is Amanda (Amy) Carpenter, and I am so excited to join Sorrento Elementary School as an Assistant Principal. I have teaching experiences in grades K-5, and I have served as a middle school Literacy Coach, Region 1 Curriculum Specialist 6-12, and Intervention Specialist K-12 with Lake County Schools.
I graduated from the University of Central Florida and the University of West Florida, earning a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in ESOL and Reading K-12 and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership.
My husband and I have a blended family with five amazing kiddos and two Maltipoo pups, Vinny and Jules, all of whom keep us busy. We love to travel, play golf, and do fun activities with our family. I am grateful to be to joining such a wonderful school community and look forward to partnering with you as we embark on this school year.
Best Regards,
Amy Carpenter
