We are so excited to continue the implementation of the Safety Patrol Program, which is supported by our administration and sponsored by AAA.
The primary purpose of the program is to enhance the safety of our students. In addition, this promotes the development of leadership skills, good citizenship qualities and sound academic skills.
A safety patrol’s job is to model for students the safety rules that have been taught in the classroom, to assist students in safe transitions throughout the building, to assist students who are car and bus riders as they arrive and depart school.
Patrols receive training and instructions in safety guidelines and procedures during an initial training and regularly at patrol meetings.
Here is where you will find information about our School Safety Patrol. The calendar will be regularly updated with meeting dates/times & other events the patrol may have going on, please check it often. You will find photos in the picture sections and our newsletter will be linked here as well.
Any emergent information will be sent home with your patroller.
During the first day of school, your child should receive notification stating whether he/she is on the safety patrol or not. We will send home letters in the first few days of school to ALL students who applied.
**We are excited to be leading the Safety Patrol for another year and look forward to working with your children.
If you have any questions or concerns about your child’s participation on the Sorrento's School’s Safety Patrol, please contact one of us.
